3 comments on “RadioShack Closings in MA and RI

  1. The one in Fairhaven has no scanners or shortwave radios but there are a lot of adapters that hams or scanner users may find useful.

  2. Radio Shacks in the area are pretty much cleaned out. Phase D of their closeout. I just picked up $1K worth of RF, audio, and power connectors, adapters and cables for 10 cents or less on the dollar. The prize find was buying the last two 35 foot rolls of red and black #10 stranded for 50 cents each. Grabbed the last remaining Otterbox cases for $2 to $5 each for various phones…including my Samsung S4 and family members iPhone 5’s and 6’s. There are still a lot of button batteries left at a good price in Fairhaven. I heard that Kings Highway is pretty much done. Also picked up a bunch of remaining project boxes, battery holders and a few switches too.

  3. Just left the Fairhaven store a few minutes and the vultures have picked it clean. Just a few cell phone cases, wall warts and a few audio adapters left. Dartmouth Mall store is selling grab bags for $5 and $10. Kings hwy is also done. Only fixtures left. Sad end of an era.
