This past weekend was a big day for the AREDN install at SEMARA. The outdoor nodes and lightning protection have been installed on the tower and wire drops were run into the radio room. Many thanks to Denis Young and Greg Demers from CSY Technologies for donating their time and the use of the bucket truck for the install. Also, additional thanks to Rich Netinho, AC1JG, for all his efforts this morning in the installation.
In addition to this, Ben, N1WBV has upgraded the Mikrotik HAPac lite in the radio room to a newer (and beefier) HAPac3. This will provide the clubhouse better signal strength to the local AREDN WiFi signal and also will better handle the routing to/from the mesh networking outside.
The team expects to start smoke testing the new system over the next few weeks.
