There is renewed interest in Amateur Radio Emergency Data Networking (AREDN) at 2.4 and 5 GHz. Here is Paul Fredette, K1YBE, giving a Sunday morning presentation to SEMARA club members on how it works and the equipment involved. This is one of the topics in the ARRL STEM project, called ARTEN, presented at Bridgewater State. For more information visit the Newport County Radio Club website at w1sye.org and search on ‘ARTEN’. An article on page 76 of the November 2024 issue of QST suggests that AREDN may eventually be connected to Starlink.
