The 147.000 repeater will be used in-part for communications during an Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) Simulated Emergency Test (SET) mini-exercise this Saturday, November 15, 2025.
The drill is dubbed Operation November Wind and will provide an opportunity to try out emergency power equipment. It is also a chance to fine-tune emergency preparedness skills. Phil, N1XTB and Rob, KD1CY have asked that interested hams check out the exercise document located HERE on the Eastern MA ARRL/ARES website. There is also a link on that page to credit your participation.
Any final changes and updates to the document on that page will be finished by Friday, November 14, 2025. Please be mindful that the ’00 repeater will be used for this drill and that this communication takes priority. Participation is highly recommended for ARES, RACES, AUXCOMM, and USCG Auxiliary members, in addition to SKYWARN spotters. If you are not associated with any of those groups and are simply a licensed amateur, you are also welcome and encouraged to participate.
