Hey Everyone:
Now that the holiday dust is starting to settle, just want to send out another reminder that SEMARA will be participating in Winter Field Day.
(WFD) as 3I (3 transmitter indoor) January 24th and 25th. Winter Field Day, like ARRL Field Day, is not a contest but an attempt to simulate contacts during an emergency.
This is a 30-hour contest running from 11AM EST Saturday to 5:00PM EST Sunday. My goal will be to be on site operating from 11AM-5PM ET each day. I really think the club has a first class operating station that doesn’t see enough use. There are three operating positions, so spend and hour or two playing radio with some killer antennas and some great radios!
