N1POW, William L. Vincent

DARTMOUTH-William L. Vincent, 92, of So. Dartmouth, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Gloria M. (Botelho) Vincent with whom he shared 61 years of marriage and son of the late Manuel L. and Mary (Santos) Vincent.
Mr. Vincent was born in Dartmouth, was a lifelong resident and a parishioner of St. Mary Church in So. Dartmouth.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II attaining the rank of Private First Class. While serving in the European Theater, he was held as a German prisoner of war for 8 months.
Mr. Vincent was employed as a delivery man for Nabisco until his retirement.
He was a member of the American Legion, Rod & Gun Club and was an amateur radio enthusiast.
His family includes his wife, Gloria M. (Botelho) Vincent of So. Dartmouth; 1 son, Gary W. Vincent of Livermore, California; 1 daughter, Karen A. Vincent and her husband, Michael D. Travisano of Carlisle, Massachusetts; 2 grandchildren, Katherine and Matthew.
Visiting hours in the funeral home Wednesday evening 5:00-7:00. His funeral will be Thursday morning 7:45 at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in St. Mary Church, So. Dartmouth at 9:00. Interment with military honors in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
