W1FJI, ARTHUR S MARSHALL, JR

Arthur Marshall, Jr.

Arthur (Art) Souza Marshall, Jr., 79, of Tallahassee, passed away on October 25, 2017 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Mass.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Janet (Raczka) Marshall of 49 years, his daughter Jennifer (Marshall) Eddy, his son-in-law David A. Eddy and his grandson Tyler D. Eddy, all of Tallahassee.

Arthur was a retired Quality Control Engineer. After he retired Art and his daughter opened The Prickly Pear Gallery in Railroad Square.

Art was also an Amateur Radio Operator (W1FJI) for over 62 years. He was a member of ARRL and OOTM. Art loved talking to people all over the world via Morse code, his favorite form of communication. He also wrote many articles of his travels and using his different radios during the trips.

Arthur also wrote and had published many technical articles enjoyed by many about the history of Amateur Radio.

A celebration of Art's life will be held at the Marshall residence on Saturday, November 4th at 2pm.
