This past Sunday at SEMARA we had a number of technical feats achieved! First, Rich, AC1JG, Rich, W1RJC, and Paul, K1YBE installed and configured the recently purchased Yaesu SCU-LAN10 remote control interface for the Yaesu FT-DX10 at Operating Position #1 in the radio room. This will allow club members, such as ones who are living in covenant-restricted communities or are otherwise “RF Limited”, to operate the the club station remotely. The system is currently undergoing smoke testing and will be announced to members once it is open for beta testers.
Next, Ben, N1WBV, and Rich, AC1JG re-programmed and assembled the recently purchased Ubiquiti airMAX 5AC Lites for the clubs AREDN installation. These will be installed on the club tower next weekend, weather permitting. Fingers crossed for good weather!
